My Oil Painting

I recently had a conversation with another artist through a family dinner. When the artist asked me what I did, I described my oil painting. I said I did mostly landscapes, but I was also attracted to cityscape elements. I love bringing out the colors I discover in cracked concrete, peeling plaster, or alternating brick work. The artist exclaimed "Oh, you love painting with texture!" I said, rather, I love creating the feel of texture by experimenting with color within color with quick choppy brush strokes.
